What is methylcobalamin?
It is one of the two coenzyme forms of vitamin B12 that cells actually use (the other is adenosylcobalamin). Cyanocobalamin, the cheaper common form, has to be converted into these first.
Do I need to mix it?
No. It comes as a ready-made solution at 1000 mcg per ml, so there is no bacteriostatic water to add.
How should it be stored?
Cool, and out of the light. Methylcobalamin breaks down in light, so keep the vial in its box and follow the storage line on the label.
